because we’re Family

As usual, my mind started going many miles a minute when it was decided we would have family over for dinner and dessert last night. I thought – what a great opportunity to try out some new desserts and maybe even put together a dessert table!

Well, I designed little table cards that said “because we’re Family” and even a backdrop sign, decided on the dinner & dessert menu, but by the time I got the weekly cleaning done and the desserts made, I had no time left to set up the table design. boohoo. Regardless, I wanted it to look appealing and everyone waited patiently while I found the right serveware and set things up. I snapped many photos (hoping the lighting, or lack of, wouldn’t cause me too much trouble) so I could share the fun with you!We had Chocolate Mousse and Espresso Creme Brulee (marthastewart.com), Cream Cornets (Julia Child), Cheesecake Balls, Pumpkin Tartlets, plus a few chocolate cupcakes I had in the freezer for photo session props. I am happy with how each dessert came out and most everything got good reviews. Yay!Find the printables in the shop here.
