I am happy to announce that my husband’s brother and his wife are proud first time parents to a beautiful baby girl! It’s a good thing we had their baby shower only a month ago because this little one decided to come three weeks early! Because of that I was honored to be allowed to be a part of the delivery team (I was assistant coach =] ) since my sister-in-law’s mother lives out of state! It’s such an amazing thing, birth, and I will never forget the beautiful moment little Giselle arrived.
After getting some sleep (didn’t sleep the whole night before – but that’s nothing compared to what new mom went through so I can’t complain), I assembled the little gift I previously started to prepare for them. I thought Giselle might come early so I went ahead and got everything just a day before they went into labor. Good thing! They went home today, cute little bundle and all, and we delivered this gift along with some dinner since they were probably not in the mood to cook! LOL
The bouquet is made of tights, washcloths and a cute wash ‘mitt’. It’s similar to a paper bag puppet in it’s shape and when unwrapped it has sun beams and a little face. I thought it made a cute daisy-like flower.
Also, they let me put together their baby announcement but can’t show that yet. Stay tuned!
Oh, by the way, Happy 4th of July!

How awesome you were the assistant coach! The prepared dinner and the lovely ‘bouquet’ are the perfect gifts! I’m glad you explained the ‘daisy’ because I was wondering how you did that. 🙂

did you make that? I love it! Could you provide instructions on how to make it – my sisters pregnant with my first niece and I’m trying to find the cutest projects to add to the occasion! So adorable!
